Symbolism of the Jewel and Virtues of the Stone in Lithotherapy
The jewel's name is inspired by the Amazonite stone that makes up the pendant and the Amazon River where it was reportedly first discovered, although history reveals it was used much earlier in antiquity in Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Sudan. It was later worked by Native Americans, for whom it was strongly linked to deities and chosen for adorning jewelry, armor, and weapons to bring courage and strength during battles.
Amazonite stone primarily comes from Brazil, Colorado, India, Russia, and South Africa.
Gold plating is a process steeped in history. This gilding technique has been used worldwide since antiquity. Once a sign of wealth and power, it now signifies elegance.
Today, in lithotherapy, this stone is known to bring mental serenity and happiness, as well as to improve romantic and friendly relationships through altruism and wisdom. It is associated with the "Heart" and "Throat" Chakras.
Lithotherapy is a pseudoscientific practice of unconventional medicine based on the belief in the power certain stones are said to possess, which, through their vibrations and energies, help improve psychic and physical well-being or even cure illnesses. However, there is no scientific evidence of these benefits. The practice of lithotherapy and the use of stones should therefore not replace medical advice.
In lithotherapy, stones purify and recharge their energies naturally in their natural state when in contact with earth, water, or the light of the moon or sun.
Once removed from their environment, they lose their positive energies and must be purified and recharged.
Thus, you can purify them by rinsing them or submerging them for a few minutes in clear or demineralized water, by placing them in a singing bowl that you make sing and vibrate, or by burning a sage stick or incense and exposing them to the fumes.
To recharge them, expose them overnight to moonlight, preferably a full moon. You can also expose them to the sun, but avoid prolonged exposure (less than an hour) as sunlight can, over time, dull some stones. Therefore, prefer sunrise or sunset when the radiation is gentle.
You can also bury them during the full moon, leaving them underground for an entire lunar cycle or several months, or place them for several hours or days on a cluster of Quartz.
Choosing Your Size
Before ordering your necklace, check the size that suits you.
The choice of necklace size depends on your neck size, your body shape, your silhouette, and how you wish to wear it over clothing.
The chain should not be too tight to avoid injury, discomfort, and a lack of elegance.
Measure your neck circumference using a soft tape measure, or if you don't have one, use a string or a strip of paper and then measure its length with a ruler.
The chain sizes in the MOONSTRA store range from 37 to 60 cm. These sizes do not include the length of the pendants that make up the necklaces. Therefore, remember to add the pendant length to get an idea of the total length of the jewel on you.
Generally, but this depends on silhouettes and body types, chain sizes (without pendant) fall as follows:
- 40 cm: the chain falls at the base of the neck.
- 45 cm: the chain falls at the collarbone.
- 50 cm: the chain falls below the collarbone.
- 55 cm: the chain falls at the upper part of the chest.
- 60 cm: the chain falls lower on the chest.
The following photo illustrates the chain sizes sold in the MOONSTRA store on a mannequin.

It is advisable to measure a well-fitting necklace that you wear regularly, consisting of its chain and a pendant similar to the one you are interested in from the MOONSTRA store, to help you choose the size of the new one you wish to order.
Usage and Care Tips
To preserve the jewel from premature aging and maintain its shine, MOONSTRA advises you to avoid:
- exposing it to fresh, salt, or chlorinated water. Remove the jewel before showering or swimming.
- exposing it to sand and salt. Remove the jewel before going to the beach.
- exposing it directly to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other cosmetic products. Wait for the products to be absorbed by the skin before putting on the jewel.
- exposing it to oxidizing products. Remove the jewel before doing household chores or DIY.
- exposing it to heavy perspiration. Remove the jewel before any intense physical activity.
- keeping it on for sleeping and manual activities.
To clean and polish the jewel, MOONSTRA advises you to gently rub it with a soft-bristled brush moistened with water and a mild shampoo or Marseille soap, then rinse it with clear water and finally dry it with a soft cloth.
