The symbolism of the jewel and the virtues of the stone in lithotherapy
The jewel's name is inspired by the Latin and Arabic given name "Lora" which means "compassion". Here, it symbolizes gentleness and appeasement.
Gold plating is a process steeped in history. This gilding technique has been used worldwide since antiquity. Once a sign of wealth and power, it now conveys elegance.
The stones are synthetic and made of resin. Being artificial, they have no virtues in lithotherapy or particular meaning, but they give the image of a budding ankle chain, ready to bloom with beautiful, vibrant flowers. This ankle chain thus brings a lot of well-being to wear due to the elegance they exude.
While the stones have no meaning, in chromatography:
- white symbolizes cheerfulness, appeasement, freshness, purity, and innocence. It is associated with the seventh chakra or crown chakra.
- Klein blue symbolizes travel, escape, appeasement, a close connection with water, the sea, and the sky. It is synonymous with freedom, power, will, and courage. It is associated with the sixth chakra or third eye chakra.
- turquoise blue symbolizes travel, escape, appeasement, a close connection with water, the sea, and the sky. It is synonymous with self-confidence and creativity. It is associated with the fifth chakra or throat chakra.
- black symbolizes elegance, refinement, luxury, and wealth. It inspires simplicity and mystery. It is associated with the first chakra or root chakra.
- coral red symbolizes passion, love, sensuality, but also energy, power, and combativeness. It is associated with the first chakra or root chakra.
- green symbolizes serenity, hope, luck, or concentration. It is associated with the fourth chakra or heart chakra.
Lithotherapy is a pseudoscientific practice of unconventional medicine based on the belief in a power that certain stones possess, which, through their vibrations and energies, would help to improve psychological and physical well-being, or even cure diseases. However, there is no scientific evidence of these benefits. The practice of lithotherapy and the use of stones should therefore not replace medical advice.
Choosing your size
Before ordering your ankle chain, check the size that suits you.
The size depends on the morphology of the ankle and how you wish to wear it.
Measure the circumference of your ankle with a flexible tape measure, or if you don't have one, use a thread or a strip of paper then measure its length with a ruler.
Generally, the measurement is taken on the lower part of the ankle at the malleolus (the "bony bump" you have on the side and outside of the foot).
The size of the ankle chain is generally 1 to 2 cm larger than the ankle circumference. It all depends on how you want to wear it, loose or tighter, but it should be able to turn easily around the ankle.
The ankle chain should not be too tight or too loose to avoid injuries, discomfort, or lack of elegance.
It is advisable to measure a well-fitted one that you wear regularly to help you choose the size of the new one you wish to order.
Usage and care tips
To preserve the jewel from premature aging and maintain its brilliance, MOONSTRA advises you to avoid:
- exposing it to fresh, salt, or chlorinated water. Remove the jewel before showering or swimming.
- exposing it to sand and salt. Remove the jewel before going to the beach.
- exposing it directly to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other cosmetic products. Wait for the products to be absorbed by the skin before putting on the jewel.
- exposing it to oxidizing products. Remove the jewel before doing housework or DIY.
- exposing it to heavy perspiration. Remove the jewel before any intense physical activity.
- keeping it on while sleeping and for manual activities.
