 The symbolism of the jewel

The name of the jewel is inspired by the Arabic name "Baya" which means "great lady, noble and distinguished."

The leaf is a protective symbol that represents change, self-development, and maturing in life through the passage of time.

Gold plating is a process rich in history. This gilding technique has been used worldwide since antiquity. Formerly a sign of wealth and power, it now conveys elegance.

Choosing your size

Before ordering your necklace, check the size that suits you.

The choice of necklace size depends on your neck size, your body type, your figure, and how you wish to wear it over clothing.
The chain should not be too tight to avoid injury, discomfort, and a lack of elegance.

Measure the circumference of your neck using a flexible tape measure, or if you don't have one, use a string or strip of paper and then measure its length with a ruler.

The chain sizes in the MOONSTRA store range from 37 to 60 cm. These sizes do not include the length of the pendants that make up the necklaces. Remember to add the pendant length to get an idea of the full length of the jewel on you.

In general, but depending on figures and body types, chain sizes (without pendant) fall as follows:

• 40 cm: the chain falls at the base of the neck.
• 45 cm: the chain falls at the collarbone.
• 50 cm: the chain falls below the collarbone.
• 55 cm: the chain falls at the upper part of the chest.
• 60 cm: the chain falls lower on the chest.

It is advisable to measure a well-fitting necklace that you wear regularly, consisting of its chain and a pendant similar to the one you are interested in from the MOONSTRA store, to help you choose the size of the new one you wish to order.

Use and care tips

To preserve the jewelry from premature aging and maintain its shine, MOONSTRA advises you to avoid:

• exposing it to fresh, salt, or chlorinated water. Remove the jewelry before showering or swimming.
• exposing it to sand and salt. Remove the jewelry before going to the beach.
• exposing it directly to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other cosmetic products. Wait for the products to be absorbed by the skin before putting on the jewelry.
• exposing it to oxidizing products. Remove the jewelry before doing household chores or DIY.
• exposing it to heavy perspiration. Remove the jewelry before any intense physical activity.
• keeping it on while sleeping and for manual activities.

To clean and shine the jewelry, MOONSTRA advises you to gently rub it with a soft-bristled brush moistened with water and a mild shampoo or Marseille soap, then rinse it with clear water, and finally dry it with a soft cloth.
