The symbolism of the jewel and the virtues of the stone in lithotherapy

The name of the jewel is inspired by the Latin name "Gloria" which means "glory".

Pearls have been used for millennia for making jewelry. They are associated with many traditions, cultures, and symbolisms. For example, they symbolize love among Hindus, perfection in Islam, purity in Christianity, and experience, wisdom, and power in various ancient and more contemporary cultures.
Whatever the symbolism and the reason for wearing them, they are today the emblem of natural beauty.

This natural white rock crystal pearl is artificial.

Crystal represents wisdom, purity, transparency, and lucidity.
It is often associated with magic and mystery. Since prehistoric times, it has been used in the creation of tools. From antiquity, particularly with the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, through the Renaissance and to the present day, crystal has been used in the making of jewelry, sculptures, and other art and decorative objects. Finally, it remains highly symbolic in our society as it marks fifteen years of marriage with crystal anniversaries.
Deposits are found all over the world. The largest are in Brazil, the Alps, the Himalayas, Arkansas in the United States, and Madagascar.

Gold plating is a process steeped in history. This gilding technique has been used around the world since antiquity. Once a sign of wealth and power, it is now a symbol of elegance.

Today in lithotherapy, rock crystal is a stone of light and purity. It is a very good receiver, emitter, and amplifier of energies. It particularly helps to develop the properties and recharge the energies of the body and other stones, or to purify and cleanse negative energies from objects, spaces, or the aura. It facilitates energetic, emotional, and spiritual exchanges. It aids imagination, clairvoyance, concentration, and intuition. It helps to balance and stabilize the emotions and vibrations of the body.
Due to its properties, rock crystal is associated with any chakra.

Lithotherapy is a pseudoscientific practice of unconventional medicine based on the belief in a power that certain stones would have, which, through their vibrations and energies, would help improve psychic and physical well-being or even cure illnesses. However, there is no scientific evidence of these benefits. The practice of lithotherapy and the use of stones should therefore not replace medical advice.

In lithotherapy, stones purify and recharge their energies on their own in their natural state when they are in contact with the earth, water, or the light of the moon or sun.
Once removed from their environment, they lose their positive energies and must be purified and recharged.

Thus, you can purify them by rinsing them or immersing them for a few minutes in clear or demineralized water, by placing them in a singing Tibetan bowl that you will make vibrate, or by burning a sage stick or incense and exposing them to the smoke.

To recharge them, expose them all night to the moonlight, preferably a full moon. You can also expose them to the sun, but avoid prolonged exposure (less than an hour) as the sun's rays can, in time, dull certain stones. Therefore, prefer sunrise or sunset when the radiation is gentle.
You can also bury them on a full moon, leaving them underground for an entire lunar cycle or for several months, or place them for several hours or days on a cluster of Quartz.

    Choose your size

Before ordering your earrings (ear studs, posts, hoops, pendants, etc.), check the size that suits you.

The size depends on the morphology of your ears, the position of your piercings, and the outfit you wish to wear.

An earring should not be too tight to avoid injury, discomfort, and lack of elegance. It should be able to move slightly.
It is therefore advisable to measure well-fitting earrings that you wear regularly to help you choose the size of the new ones you wish to order.

    Usage and care tips

To preserve the jewel from premature aging and maintain its brilliance, MOONSTRA advises you to avoid:

    • exposing it to fresh, salt, or chlorinated water. Remove the jewel before taking a shower or swimming.
    • exposing it to sand and salt. Remove the jewel before going to the beach.
    • exposing it directly to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other cosmetic products. Wait for the products to be absorbed by the skin before putting on the jewel.
    • exposing it to oxidizing products. Remove the jewel before doing housework or DIY.
    • exposing it to heavy perspiration. Remove the jewel before any intense physical activity.
    • keeping it on for sleeping and manual activities.

To clean and polish the jewel, MOONSTRA advises you to gently rub it with a soft-bristled brush moistened with water mixed with a mild shampoo or Marseille soap, then rinse it with clear water and finally dry it with a soft cloth.
