The symbolism of the jewel
The name of the jewel is inspired by the Ethiopian name "Amara", which means "grace".
Gold plating is a process rich in history. This gilding technique has been used worldwide since antiquity. Once a sign of wealth and power, it now conveys elegance.
The coffee bean chain does not have any particular spiritual or historical significance.
However, this pattern refers to Africa, the origin of the coffee bean in Ethiopia. A simple seed that has been a source of adventure, covetousness, and pleasure for centuries.
Here, it symbolizes exoticism, openness to the world, and conviviality.
Choosing your size
Before ordering a ring, check your correct size.
To do this, if you don't have a ring sizer, you can measure the circumference of its placement on your finger with a thread or a strip of paper, then measure its length with a ruler.
Generally, the ring size corresponds to the average of the size of the finger joint and its placement on the finger. For example, if the finger circumference at the ring placement is 51mm and the joint circumference is 53mm, the average, 52mm, will correspond to a ring size of 52.
Remember that every morphology is different, that it does not always conform to this rule, and that finger size can change rapidly with cold and heat.
You can use the following table to help you:
| Circumference in mm | Diameter in mm |
| 52 | 16.5 |
| 54 | 17.2 |
| 56 | 17.8 |
| 58 | 18.4 |
A ring should not be too tight to avoid injury risks, nor too loose to avoid loss risks.
It is therefore advisable to measure a well-fitting ring you wear regularly to help you choose the size of your new ring.
Usage and care tips
To prevent premature aging of the jewel and maintain its brilliance, MOONSTRA advises avoiding:
- exposure to fresh, salt, or chlorinated water. Remove the jewel before showering or swimming.
- exposure to sand and salt. Remove the jewel before going to the beach.
- direct exposure to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other cosmetic products. Wait for the products to be absorbed by the skin before putting on the jewel.
- exposure to oxidizing products. Remove the jewel before doing household chores or DIY.
- exposure to heavy perspiration. Remove the jewel before any intense physical activity.
- wearing it while sleeping or during manual activities.
To clean and polish the jewel, MOONSTRA advises gently rubbing it with a soft-bristled brush moistened with water and a mild shampoo or Marseille soap, then rinsing it with clear water and finally drying it with a soft cloth.
